Will he hide behind his walls or will he take the chance .

The first sexy, captivating, stand-alone novel in the brand-new FIGHT FOR ME series from NYT & USA Today Bestselling Author A.L. Jackson . . .
Rex Gunner. As bitter as he is beautiful.

The owner of the largest construction company in Gingham Lakes has been burned one too many times. His wife leaving him to raise their daughter was the last blow this single dad could take. The only woman he’ll let into his heart is his little girl.

Rynna Dayne. As vulnerable as she is tempting.

She ran from Gingham Lakes when she was seventeen. She swore to herself she would never return. Then her grandmother passed away and left her the deed to the diner that she once loved.

When Rex meets his new neighbor, he knows he’s in trouble.

She’s gorgeous and sweet and everything he can’t trust.

Until she becomes the one thing he can’t resist.

One kiss sends them tumbling toward ecstasy.

But in a town this size, pasts are bound to collide. Caught in a web of lies, betrayal, and disloyalty, Rex must make a choice.

Will he hide behind his walls or will he take the chance

The past collides with the present when Rynna Dane returns to the place she fled from when she was seventeen. Rynna returns to Gingham Lakes after her grandma dies, to inherit her iconic dinner. Rynna wants to confront her fears. She’s stronger, and no longer overweight. Rynna was tormented her entire childhood. She couldn’t take it anymore. The naive, embarrassed Rynna ran like Forrest Gump. But she’s ready. Everything happens for a reason, right?

Rex Gunner has a few scars of his own. He’s been burned by wives & business partners. The only positive thing he has going is his beautiful daughter. Frankie Leigh is the light that pulls him from the darkness. He doesn’t want to let anyone else in. Rex believes letting anyone in would be painful.

The day Rynna moves back to town, she meets Rex and Frankie Leigh. Frankie opens right up. (Because that’s what kids do.) Rex is a different story. He sees Rynna as someone who will hurt him. Brooding single dad alert! He concentrates on his career and daughter. Too bad he’s powerless to resist his new, hot neighbor.

Rynna and Rex have a lot in common. Both of them are scared. When Rex gives in to temptation they live happily ever after, right? Too bad this isn’t a fairytale. Rex’s past comes knocking on the door. Literally. Rynna is knocked for a loop because Rex and Rynna have more in common than they realized.

To Rex’s dismay, Frankie’s ready to let Rynna into their lives Frankie Leigh bond almost right away. Rynna’s grandma was Frankie’s second grandma.

Her grandma was consistently there when Rynna needed guidance. She was only thre in spirit, but her grandma always seemed to know what Rynna needed to hear. Rynna had regrets when it came to her grandma. She regrets not being brave enough to return to town earlier. She regrets not telling her grandma what caused her to run.

Minor characters rounded out this great tear jerker contemporary romance. Someone had to slap sense into the brooding dad.

A.L. Jackson’s latest romance flows like water. She brings out so many emotions and pulls you into Gingham Lakes and the hearts of each character. Twists and turns rounds  out this great contemporary romance. If you don’t read Show Me The Way, you’re missing out on a great adventure.
